Toggle Wings
Toggle wings are metal wings with a nut and a spring -- they are also called toggle nuts or butterfly nuts. They are used with a machine screw to create a toggle bolt. A toggle bolt goes through a wall and by pressing the wings in. When wings clear the hole they spring back open and prevent the bolt from slipping back out the wall.
